    For long times I insist my opinion on Richard Roxburgh's Sherlock Holmes in 2002, by BBC. As a 10-year fan to Mr.Sherlock Holmes, I have ever loved Basil Rathbone, and is always trying to find another man who can replace him in my heart (though it is impossible as I see).Otherwise, Rox's Sherlock has given me a big surprise after so many years keen at Basil. Yes, as the comment says, Rox is a more believable Sherlock in my eyes, and is more likely a wisdom but willful great detective rather than a perfect gentlemen, though Ian Hurt, as I see, is a testiness highschool student rather than a doctor back from wars, not very good to be with Rox.

    Followed are comments from IMDB

    3 out of 4 people found the following comment useful :-
    The Hound of the Baskervilles, 2002, TV, 29 January 2007
    10/10
    Author: alibi63 from United States

    Sherlock Holmes, by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, are my favorite movies, books, old radio programs and TV shows.

    Basil Rathbone, (1892- 1967), made a film version of The Hound of the Baskervilles in 1939. Jeremy Brett,(1933-1995), played the title charter on TV for 10 years, and now Richard Roxburgh,(1962), from Australia, are the best and most believable Sherlock Holmes.

    This version of The Hound of the Baskervilles (2002) is my most favorite. I long for Richard Roxburgh as Holmes and Ian Hart as Watson to make another Sherlock Holmes film together.

    The production values were excellent. Costumes, makeup, set decorations all excellent. Maybe "The Hound" it self could have been done better, but I don't think that it makes much difference.

    John Nettles, (Inspector Barnaby in Midsomer Murders), was perfect as Dr. Mortimer as well as Ron Cook as Barrymore the Butler. Richard E. Grant was amazing as Jack Stapleton. I never would have thought of Grant as menacing and cruel.

    Ian Hart shines as Dr. John Watson. Hart doesn't play Watson as a moron or stumble bum. He acts like a real doctor and an assistant to a real detective. This is a grown up version of the movie. Not G-rated.

    If you like mysteries, detectives, period films, and horror than this film is for you.

    Richard Roxburgh plays Holmes as Sir Arthur Conan Doyle wrote him.

    ~~~就完美鳥~~~
    很小很小,我便知道你的名字,但我真正与你相识,是在十年前的那个假期。
    我翻开血字的研究,泛黄的书页散发股股清香,你雀跃的登场令人吃惊,我暗地取笑医生的迟钝,冲着那张写满知识范畴的单子尴尬皱眉;“那篇是我写的”这是你第一句让我忍俊不禁的话;我用铅笔勾勒下“大脑与屋子”的著名论断,当你把手铐轻而易举地戴在侯波手上时,我一下子喜欢上了你;在整个盐湖城的故事里,我都在盼望你的身影;四签名的开场让我新塑的雕像在震惊中碎了一地,我嗔怪道尔的残忍,却要学会在那之后谨慎而客观地看一个人,这是每个福米的必经之途:即使在这样一个细节之后,依然清醒地忠实于你。
    起初,像大多数人一样,我难以克制地编派你和艾琳的谣传;也像大多数人一样,我莫名地喜欢斑点带子营造的诡计;还像大多数人一样,我认为你冷酷傲慢,高不可攀,只有大脑没有心;起初的起初,你是年轻的歇洛克·福尔摩斯,是众人眼中那个聪明绝顶如机器般冷酷精确的著名侦探。
    十年之间世事如梭,即使是你,也曾变了容颜,唯一不变的,是你一直陪伴的身影。我想念着遥远大洋上的小小岛国,我默记过伦敦的每一寸土地,从东区码头到西区剧院,从九曲湖到查林十字街;我在地图上追寻你的足迹,我到过康沃尔郡旁的达特穆尔沼泽,我拜访了赖盖特和萨里郡,最后驻足美丽的苏塞克斯丘陵。我想象你曾在剑桥西苏学院获得无机化学的学分,我猜测你曾在牛津博得利图书馆寻找英国宪章典籍;莱西厄姆剧院还在上演萨拉塞蒂的门德尔松,伦敦塔桥建成在具有纪念意义的1894年;大英博物馆的泰晤士报和每日电讯报上留着你的指纹,双轮双座马车的车夫还能回忆起那声“贝克街221B”;我从每一把小提琴的弦音中倾听你的声息,我在Peterson烟斗的图片中找寻你的痕迹。我的本子里写满你的名字和语录,我摸索着学拉小提琴,试图弄懂火腿蛋的制作方法,并劝说朋友用波斯拖鞋来盛烟草;我曾在公车上观察大叔的裤脚和大妈的衣袖;在逻辑学课上我一个劲想象你会如何应对眼前的难题;路遇乞丐时我试图考虑你的处理方式;与人斗嘴后我懊悔没能更好地模仿你的嘲讽语气。重要的是,在生活碎屑以外,你曾教我懂得理性的重要,教我坚强,独立,并珍视友情;你教我坚定的行走,具备突破的勇气、善意与责任,满怀热情地生活,并忠实于自己——尽管我的进步还如此缓慢。
    时光在你眼中变迁,你却站在历史亘古的角落。不知何时,我渐渐贪恋上巴斯克维尔的猎犬那浓郁的哥特风情;不知何时,我默默开始注目医生身边那温婉动人的梅丽;直到我恍然醒悟,你早已不是那个起初的你:对我来说,你仿佛从不曾有过片刻冷酷,你和蔼而洋溢温暖,你对着生活满怀热情,即便阴沉的天气偶尔曾让你怅然若失;你敏感,忧郁,内向,厌恶孤独;你幽默,活跃,诙谐,时而调皮;你有着强烈的自尊,但这自尊有时却脆弱,你以自负来保护它;你品行高洁,胸怀正义;你的骑士精神和绅士风度令无数人相信,你便是维多利亚时代中产阶级精神的绝佳代表;你是一个有血有肉的你——也许不是那么多人心目中的神探,却是真真切切在十年间无时无刻不陪伴在我身旁的歇洛克·福尔摩斯。于是,我猜测并希冀着——你将如此一直的陪伴我,不论十年,二十年乃至更加长久。
    ——你是永恒的歇洛克,我“亲爱的福尔摩斯先生”。
    “ 当年那个时候我在校戏剧节上看见你,凌,你穿着《奥瑟罗》里那个风流哥儿凯西奥的浅色戏装,在后台的准备间离玩弄棕色小提琴的E弦,涂抹了松香的弦在不断发出尖利刺耳的声音,你暗自笑着,把头发向身后捋了捋。可是那时候凌,你洋溢着青春的微笑的眼神恰恰撞上我怒气冲冲的瞪视。你觉得困惑呢还是有趣?你对我说过许多莫名其妙的话,我要绞尽脑汁去猜想古代房屋的暗喻,你把我逼得切近而后又离得远远。我似乎永远无法读出你深藏内心的暗语。直到终有一日,我觉得,游戏该结束了,于是,我们分开。”
    “莲花是一种什么样的生物呢?——出淤泥而不染,濯清涟而不妖?即便如此却还是要依靠淤泥与清涟供取养分,这样一来就多少有过河拆桥的讽刺意味了!……没有人能告诉我该怎么做,因为没有人配这么干,你也是一样。啊,真是奇妙,所有这些事我生来就会,所以你不如收起那些惊愕的眼神和可笑的表情,不如——再装作一个大智若愚、缺心儿的蠢人,这样来看世界,是不是纯粹了许多呢?至于那些所谓被欺骗的人,他们活该如此,这只怪他们善于且甘于被欺骗罢了。摆出一副温和的笑脸来,就有人觉得我对她心存好感——如果是你,也会相信吗?”
    Someone has complained about my blank blog for at least 2months, well, no time to care about it actually. Now, let me leave a piece of terrible homework here for memory though.  K
    Issue:  Government should place few, if any, restrictions on scientific research and development.
    Words: 663   Time: almost 2hours, unlimited
    I agree with the speaker’s assertion that government should place few restrictions on scientific research and development, however, this assertion is troubling in some other respects at the same time. In my view this assertion is too extreme, for first, the definition of scientific research in this assertion is not be given clearly, and second, this assertion has totally denied the fundamental function of the government when it involves in the scientific realm.
    Admittedly, the development of science requires an open, relax atmosphere so that the researchers and scientists could burst their mind and make more imaginative discoveries. Many cases have shown that restrictions from high powers or authorities may play a role of obstruction on the way of scientific development. One impressive instant comes from ancient Japan which still remained in the cruel, uncivilized feudal society until eighteenth century, lacking of the most motive power of a developing country ---- modern science. Historic data concludes that an important cause of the depression in science is that the Japanese government, so called the Mu office had restricted scientific research and development, for some shortsighted reasons.
    Now consider first the definition of science research and development. As we know, not all kinds of scientific research and development are allowed by our laws and ethic, actually, some of the scientific research are unlawful, even evil . Our human beings have more than once experience of horrible man-made catastrophe with bloody sufferings. There is more than one way to lead the destroy of a city, just like what happened in Japan in 1954, and I believe that the shadow of the first atom bomb will be a never-recovered wound in human being’s history. Ironically, it is the atom bomb the most marvelous scientific discovery on the memorized year 1954. Meanwhile, the illegal usage on human genes may cause inevitable ailment. A scientific research of discovery which contradicts ethic may lead even worse result. Just consider how creasy a person would be when he or she finds another himself/herself in the actual material world, seems absolutely same, because that one is cloned.
    Furthermore, we need to discuss about the fundamental function of the government. No one would argue that one important function of the government is to supervise and to manage. Therefore, all fields in a society have the responsibility to accept the supervision and management from the government, including the science realm. For every part in a society, restriction would be too much sometimes, but never could be absent. Imagine one part stands alone outside the visual threshold of the government, then other aspects in the society that contacts with this realm would possibly be in trouble, and the colossal society machine would be quickly in a mass. A compelling example could defend my claim. Sea rover , as an ancient occupation originated North Europe, has raced, as well as contradicted with governments around their hunt maritime spaces for hundred years. Sea rovers today have own scientists to develop new type of arms for their fighting colleagues, and of cause, those rovers’ scientific research are absolutely out of the restrictions of the government, no matter from which country. Therefore until now, those Viking’s apprentices still remain a remarkable frequency to appear activity nearby the East Africa continent, on the sea. As a result, for so many years, the rovers have robbed thousands or millions ships, goods and coins, having deeply attacked international commercial and trades.
    In the final analysis, it is believed that too much restrictions from government on scientific research and development lead to a specific hedge of science progress, but this does not mean the needed supervising and management on scientific discovery should be absolutely canceled, on the contrary, to avoid an horrible catastrophe caused by illegal and un-ethical scientific research, to prevent an unnecessary mass in commercial, trades, or any other realm in the society, government should persists on restricting those obvious unlawful research, and keep careful supervise on those potential peril.
    今天智力发展心理学考试~~~白老师的科目~~~开卷~~~话说就在昨晚我们也还不知道究竟考不考试~~~考试怎么考~~~开卷还是闭卷~~~大家都在赌~~~闭卷的话全班一块挂~~~还好一上来老师就发白纸~~~我们在下面窃喜~~~忽然发觉他每人一共发了两张2开(两张四开那么大)的大白纸~~~开始有种不祥的预感。。。
    他打开课件~~~只有八道题。。。我们稍微松了口气。。。老白开始说明:“一共八道大题,开卷,考试时间是四个小时。”我们开始晕。。。考四个小时???说完他就回八里台去了~~~留我们自己在那考试。。。
    一开始答题我们就发觉了。。。四个小时是有理由的。。。全是论述题。。。要么是评述某种理论要么是结合实际谈看法。。。抄得我@%#$&
    么……可怜的小学弟学妹们还是被BOSS凄惨的修理了一顿咩……“说完他就回八里台去了”这句好搞~!话说其实不排除像BOSS这样乍看幽默风趣和蔼可亲的人,还是会留大手笔~谁让BOSS实在是头脑超级好,我觉得这种形式的考试恐怕还算是手下留情的吧~
    今天去送论文的时候从门缝瞥见BOSS在会议席落座,一看到偶们他“刷”的就闪出来了,大概以为我们找他有事情,于是偶们:“……啊~啊啊~~啊?!……BOSS怎么出来了怎么真的出来了啊啊~~?其实没有什么事的说~”
    话说早先敏敏很风趣的与我慨叹:
    “BOSS实在对我们影响蛮大!”
    “嗯嗯,在本科阶段能遇到BOSS这样的老师是我们的幸运!”
    “是啊,所以……我在想是不是我们写封感谢信给他吧因为面对面说感谢的话实在不好意思说不出口啊啊啊~”
    么=_=+   敏敏你要挺住啊……
    现在说感谢的话还太早,因为偶们实在是还一丁点成绩都没有获得,即使有一点,那也是托了BOSS的大力指导,所以说,路还很长,功夫还没有下够。想到下学期实习的事情,就想继续在研究院,虽然辛苦,但是蛮喜欢那里的氛围,周围都是勤勤恳恳搞科研做学术的人,于年轻如我者,自是再好不过的鞭策,这也是敏敏所说“影响”的一部分吧。BOSS在电话里跟阿姨说,好啊~如果学院没有什么特别要求的话~我这里正缺人手呢!哈哈,果然有BOSS的作风。什么时候能写出一篇足以让BOSS在后面落名字的好论文呢?
    Angel & Demons,几乎是最近炒的最热的宗教题材电影了,片子拍的很不错,悬念十足,解谜惊险,过程刺激,场景宏大,又加上宗教噱头和罗马梵蒂冈交相辉映的经典风光,在现在低迷的众电影中算得上是上乘之作。
    嗯,随便那么一说,显然把欧洲学院派叫到好莱坞大片里来参演,对米国本土的演员来说不是良策。远有《罗宾汉》,近有《天使与魔鬼》,还有其他一众大片,无不在说明一个道理:就算是Kevin Costner和Tom Hanks这样的好莱坞大家,也不免被欧洲人(特别是不列颠的一众疯子)以典雅的绅士气度和抢眼的舞台剧演技大占风头!想想看,在这种神秘感浓郁的宗教风片子里,怎么能让与之气味相投的欧洲学院派演员参加呢!汤姆大叔要不是你的戏份多多,这片子会完全沦为《罗宾汉》第二滴~~~!
    好吧,我要承认我的眼力日趋下降,已到了自己都惊讶的地步了,Ewan Mcgergor兄,从头到尾从头到尾我都在嚷“啊啊啊~这个牧师好帅啊!”甚至连你那有点苏格兰风的英音都辨出来了,可是为虾米偶就是米认出来那个就是你Ewan呢、是你Ewan呢?!丢死人啦!!P.S.注意伊万穿牧师服的身影,那个窈窕啊~~~
    然后,Stellan Skarsgård!大叔再一次飚演技整了个亦正亦邪的角色,不得不怀疑Skarsgård是不是偏爱宗教冒险类题材,因为刚开始认识他就是在《驱魔人前传》里,彼时这家伙演一个很帅的正在找寻信仰的牧师=_=+,最后和Lucifer斗的很惨很惨,令人窒息……同样的其中一个场景里斯卡加德穿着牧师服穿过圣彼得广场,气度非凡!么,其实开始关注他是因为觉得他和ROX简直像兄弟俩啊~~~
    另外,Hans Zimmer的配乐,一贯值得赞赏。
    某T、M和某价猛同学,看了没有~?
